We will be looking for donations for the basket raffle at the May 20th concert and a family to organize the Memorial Day Picnic held at Thompson Lake for the Marching Band. In order to cover expenses, they are asking for monetary donations and sponsorships. Your uniform order will be delivered sometime in January. You will be changing into your uniform during the concert after you perform if you are in marching band, so bring your marching uniform (all black socks and shoes). In addition to the Marching Pride, I have become a member of many different campus organizations and currently hold seven leadership roles, one of which is being a student mentor for our university President. Please note that we cannot guarantee that you will receive the uniform that your student wore. Be sure to dress warm and wear layers under your uniform. We also suggest for the newbies that you wear athletic gear. Newbie day is 8:30am-1pm August 10th. Attendance is OPTIONAL FOR NEWBIES (although we strongly suggest it simply because it is very helpful) but is MANDATORY FOR SL CANDIDATES. Squad leader day is 8:30am-1pm August 9th (Start in the HHS Band Room for both) Attendance is mandatory if you wish to be considered for squad leader candidacy.
The Plymouth-Canton marching band has been picked to perform in the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade in New York City. We have extended the marching band uniform sale until Friday, January 18th. Order form is below. This year's Trojan Pride Band Camp is slated for Monday, July 30th - Friday, August 3rd AND Monday, August 6th - Thursday, August 9th, 2018 . Camp begins with pre-camp dates at Howell High School, followed by 5 days / 4 nights together at Eagle Village. Thanks to funds from Howell Public Schools, the Howell High School Marching Band was able to purchase new marching band uniforms. Get your piece of Howell High marching band history while you can! We’re offering interested families the chance to commemorate that history by keeping a piece of it. Students need to show up in their khaki shorts, Black "Star Wars" shirt, Drum Corps Videos black shoes and black socks (like the first football game's uniform), We will most likely use our uniforms (99.9% chance) but Smigell wants the option because he doesn't want to put our students in an unsafe situation in case the forecast gets hotter than what it is currently being reported - since they will be outside for a few hours.
I'm being vague because I really want the students to pick these up! All interested students should plan on attending any of our NPHS Color Guard Open Spin sessions on Tuesdays & Thursdays through the end of May - 4-6 PM all days in the NPHS Band Room - that's where our color guard coaches Hayley, Emily & Abby will get you started trying things out. What we can tell you is that there will be no Saturday marching band events scheduled for either the weekend of homecoming or the weekend of Senior Night . Students who plan to participate in Howell High School Highlander Marching Band in the 2018 - 2019 school year must attend camp in August. Busses and trailer leave high school for parade: 6 p.m. We are dressing up in our uniforms, packing the trailer and busses and leaving by 6pm. Please don't be late. They are going to be served pizza at the Breslin Center for dinner. Practice may start inside before going outside to practice parade marching. In the meantime, the support of band parents is needed more than ever so that programs like the Marching Band tailgates, Senior recognition night, the Memorial Day Picnic, and the Band Banquet can continue. The HHS Marching Band will be marching in the Memorial Day Parade on Monday, May 28th. After the parade, anyone in the HHS Band Program (and their families) are welcome to the program's traditional Memorial Day Picnic at the Howell City Park.
